From a young age, Debi grew up looking at blueprints, going on construction sites and offering her opinion on colour selections. Her father, a Professional Engineer, and co-owner of a Design|Build|Engineering firm, gave her an early view and interest in the field of designing, building and decorating. She wanted to become either an Architect or an Interior Designer and to join her father’s firm but her mother thought that the building industry was no place for a woman. She took the business route and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree instead. She worked for a top Fortune 500 high-tech firm for several years and gained incredible business experience. 11 years ago, when the staging industry was in its infancy, she staged a home at the request of a realtor. She was very nervous with her first client but the couple liked their newly “redesigned” home so much that they turned down an offer for their wanted price and decided not to move. The rest, as they say, is history. Debi went back to school to study interior decorating and staging. Her design & staging firm is recognized in York Region & Simcoe County for helping clients achieve their dreams either through decorating to stay in their homes or helping them achieve top dollar by staging their home when they’re ready to sell. Debi also has bought several “fixer-uppers” to either flip for a healthy profit or to fix up and rent. Her renovation, business, design & staging experience has given her the ability to offer clients exceptional expertise on how to add value to their home and oversee their renovation projects.
