Julianna Szczepanski

Julianna Szczepanski earned her Master’s in Adult Education from Yorkville University, returning to learning after a bachelor’s in Educational Psychology. She has completed her TESL certification course with the Canadian College of Educators. She has completed ABQ and AQ courses with OISE and York University. Julianna is certified with the Ontario College of Teachers and she obtained the Ontario Certified English Language Teacher or OCELT professional designation in 2014. She is interested in topics that connect education and psychology. Szczepanski is a supporter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Mississauga Foodbank. After a busy nursing career, Julianna began teaching in various positions in ESL environments. Her experiences encompass teaching various age groups and various language-related topics like ELA (English Language Arts), ESL in IEP (International English Program), teacher mentoring, IELTS preparation, college preparatory courses, EAP, and LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada). Julianna has been an ESL instructor with New College at the University of Toronto since 2014 and EAP instructor with Yorkville University since 2019. Additionally, she has been filling in volunteer and part-time ESL/LINC instructor positions at local school boards. Julianna’s motto is “Learning never ends”.
